At WTD, we want every Action shared on the platform to be practical, clear, and meaningful for educators. To guide this process, the SUPPORT rubric is used to review Actions before they go live.
The SUPPORT rubric helps ensure every Action is:
- Actionable
- Valuable to educators
- Easy to understand
- Connected to the right categories (Pillars & Pins)
- Practical enough to use right away
Here’s how it works:
What SUPPORT Stands For
| Insights are… | Explanation | |
| S | Significant | Provides meaningful and relevant value to educators. Avoids sales or promotional language. |
| U | Understandable | Clearly written, easy to grasp, and free of spelling or grammatical errors. |
| P | Purposeful | Connects directly to the Pillars and Pins selected for the content. |
| P | Passionate | Conveys authentic energy and belief in the idea. |
| O | Offers an Action | Clear, ready-to-use wording educators can use on the spot. |
| R | Reflective | Invites thoughtful dialogue and encourages meaningful reflection. |
| T | Timely | Insight be implemented quickly or offer immediate relevance. |
Why This Matters
The SUPPORT rubric helps us keep WTD a trusted space where educators know they’ll find ACTIONS they can actually try out. When every Action meets the same standards, it builds trust between providers and educators and strengthens the platform for everyone.
Tips for Providers
- Keep it practical. Educators want to walk away with something they can try right away.
- Stay authentic. Share from your own expertise and passion— it resonates more than polished marketing language.
- Check your categories. Double-check that your Pillars and Pins match the main idea of your Insight.
- Aim for clarity. WTD Actions are capped at 250 characters.
